TYPES OF INTERNSHIPS

On – Site Internship

Our traditional internships offer you the chance to live and work in a foreign country, gain valuable experience, enhance your CV, make new friends from all over the world and have a truly life-changing experience.

Remote Internships

Remote internships offer the chance to gain experience for those that for one reason or another cannot travel. They offer the same real work and expectation but you can do them from the comfort of your own home.

How it works

To apply for an IAESTE internship you need to register on our Exchange Platform and contact your national or local committee. Each country has its own processes and eligibility requirements that you will need to follow in order to be considered for an internship. If you are a student from a country that is not a member of IAESTE please follow the steps as outlined here.

Step 1
Find an internship

Search our open internships and register on our Exchange Platform to see others available to you and apply!

Step 2
Get in contact with your IAESTE committee

Once registered and approved, your national committee with guide you through the application process.

Step 3
Be accepted by your employer

Once you’ve been selected by your committee you will prepare your documents which will be forwarded to the employer.

Step 4
Go on your dream internship

Once accepted by the employer, you will receive all the necessary information needed to start your dream internship!

Am I eligible for an internship?

Our internships are tailored to students in STEM fields (engineering, science, maths, IT etc.) but if your field of study is not one of those you can still apply, as long as you meet the internship requirements.

You must be currently enrolled or a recent graduate (up to one year) on a Bachelor’s, Master’s degree or PhD at the time of application.
